El artículo estudia el tratado de anatomía artística de Jacques Gamelin, titulado "Nouveau receuil d'ostéologie et de myologie", publicado en dos volúmenes en 1779 y 1780. Gamelin era un gran entusiasta de la anatomía como un método de aprendizaje artístico y apostó su tiempo y su fortuna en este proyecto, el cual tardó cinco años en concluir. El pintor dibujó en hospitales a partir de disecciones y contrató a especialistas para tallar los grabados. El resultado fue uno de los tratados de anatomía para artistas más bellos y completos de la historia.

This paper studies briefly the Jacques Gamelin's treatise of artistic anatomy, entitled "Nouveau receuil d'ostéologie et de myologie", published in two volumes in 1779 and 1780. Gamelin was a great enthusiast of the anatomy as an art learning method and he bets his time and his fortune in this project, which took five years to conclude. The painter drew in hospitals from dissections and hired specialists to carve the engravings. The result was one of the treatises of anatomy for artists more beautiful and complete of history.
