Resumen de Ameloblastomas maxilares: a propósito de un caso clínico y revisión de la literatura

Purpose: The epidemiological data, clinical aspect, histopathological characteristics, diagnostic procedures and therapy employed in relation with maxillary ameloblastoma are reviewed. Material and methods: A case of jaw ameloblastoma in a 36 year old woman is presented. Results: Radiation therapy was used after surgery because the patient was young and the tumor was very extensive. After five and a half years, the patient continues without tumor. Conclusion: The behavior and therapeutic indications of this tumor are studied.
