    Este texto analiza dichas categorías, como un intento de desanudar las represen- taciones que tenemos acerca de tales distinciones, que se confunden con las de asilo, refugio, migración política y migración económica, entre otras. La hipóte- sis que planteamos establece que el término exilio se usa genéricamente, para identificar la experiencia de sujetos que han sido expulsados de su sociedad de origen. Sin embargo, esta generalización impide develar las especificidades de tal experiencia y de esa manera poder establecer qué es un exilio político pro- piamente tal y quienes son exiliados políticos, ignorando e invisibilizando sus prácticas políticas y su militancia en el exilio, así como distorsionando el número de exiliados políticos

    This text analyzes these categories, as an attempt to untangle the representations we have about such distinctions, which are confused with those of asylum, refuge, political migration and economic migration, among others. The hypothesis that we propose establishes that the term exile is used generically, to identify the experience of subjects that have been expelled from their society of origin. However, this generalization prevents to reveal the specificities of such experience and in this way to establish what is a political exile as such and who are political exiles, ignoring and invisibilizing their political practices and their militancy in exile, as well as distorting the number of the political exiles
