El decidido apoyo qatarí a la opción política que representan los Hermanos Musulmanes en los procesos de transición política del mundo árabe, sobre todo en Egipto, ha desembocado en el relativo aislamiento diplomático de Qatar. La derrota de la hermandad y su calificación como organización terrorista ha llevado a que varios países árabes penalicen a Qatar y retiren su representación diplomática en Doha.

The strong support of the policy option Qatar representing the Muslim Brotherhood in the political transition in the Arab world, especially in Egypt, has resulted in the relative diplomatic isolation of Qatar. The defeat of the Brotherhood and its classification as a terrorist organization has led to several Arab countries to punish Qatar and withdraw their diplomatic representation in Doha.
