Library self-check services are innovative for their technological design, and also for their pedagogical and communicative framework of ideation. For a tailor-made result, some questions should be asked: how to plan 3.0 furnishings for children, how to promote a proper visual identity, how to include ethical attitude in ITC, how to connect imagination to IT standards. Eventually we will find out that the real innovation is social and that technology is the gateway to users’ satisfaction, not another obstacle any longer.
