Preceded by some reflections by the author on the circumstances of culture and libraries under attack or neglected, in history and nowadays, because of their role as enhancers for freedom, equality and empowerment, the article, then, proposes an interview with the volunteers who run the ECHO Refugee Library in Greece. This is a mobile library that every day brings books, learning opportunities and children’s activities to the thousands of refugees who live in camps in Greece, mainly after getting stuck there in consequence of the EU-Turkey Deal in 2016.
