Este trabajo pretende analizar las cofradías existentes en el partido de Villanueva de los Infantes entre los siglos XVI y XVIII, tanto en los aspectos devocionales como en su dimensión social, sin obviar la conflictividad en la que se vieron inmersas estas asociaciones laicas hasta la ofensiva ilustrada del último tercio del setecientos.

This paper contributes to the knowledge of the confraternities existing in the Campo de Montiel between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, both in their devotional aspects and the social dimension, without ignoring the conflict in which these associations were immersed you to the illustrated offensive of the last third of the seven hundred.
