Resumen de Toward Developing Strategies to Effectively Teach Technological Concepts to Hospitality College Students

John W. O'Neill, Paul J. Bagdan

  • The importance of teaching technological concepts to hospitality college students has been well supported. An empirical, longitudinal study of 204 undergraduate students reveals that women possess significantly greater ability to learn technological concepts than men. Further, relatively older students and students with higher GPAs have a significantly greater ability to learn such concepts. The study also reveals that computer ownership and use, attitudes about computers, work experience, class year (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior), and class time (of day) are not related to hospitality college students' abilities to learn technology.
