    • Employees in the hotel and restaurant industry in Pennsylvania were surveyed to obtain data describing their familiarity (access to technology and use of email) with technology and distance education. The goal was to investigate the attitudes and beliefs of individuals prior to their exposure to educational technology rather than to assess their reactions during or after the use of technology, as most former research has done.
