Resumen de Disputas fronterizas en la Provincia del Paraguay: “Nuestra Señora de los Placeres de Ygatimí” 1767-1777

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo describir la fundación y la capitulación del fuerte portugués “Nuestra Señora de los Placeres” , establecido entre 1767 y 1777 en la margen norte del río Ygatimí; junto con su interacción con los españoles de la Provincia del Paraguay, sean pobladores de la villa de Curuguaty o autoridades centrales. Mediante la utilización de fuentes documentales político-administrativas pertenecientes al acervo del Archivo Nacional de Asunción, aún no abordadas hasta la actualidad, esta investigación busca constituirse en una contribución al conocimiento de las relaciones y disputas fronterizas entre la Provincia del Paraguay y la Capitanía de San Pablo durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII.

The aim of this article is to describe the foundation and the capitulation of the Portuguese fortress named “Nuestra Señora de los Placeres”, established between 1767 and 1777 on the north bank of the Ygatimí River; and its interaction with the Spaniards of the Province of Paraguay, be it with the residents of the town of Curuguaty or the central authorities. Through the use of political-administrative documentation yet to be addressed, housed in the National Archives of Asunción, this research seeks to contribute to the knowledge of border relations and disputes between the Province of Paraguay and the Captaincy of San Pablo during the second half of the 18th century.
