A partir de los inventarios post-morten hemos intentado reconstruir la vida cotidiana de la Coruña de finales del Antiguo Régimen. De esta forma hemos pasado revista a cuestiones en apariencia banales como la distribución interior de las viviendas, ubicación y composición de los muebles más frecuentes, así como los motivos decorativos más usuales. Quizá lo más destacable sea la sobriedad y precariedad de medios en las condiciones de vida, austeridad que cambia radicalmente durante el último tercio del siglo XVIII para dar paso a un lujo y una suntuosidad inimaginables décadas atrás, que afecta a todos los grupos sociales, aunque se ponga de manifiesto más rapidamente en las categorías socioeconómicas más elevadas.

One of the most interesting chapters of the present research is the study of the private life. Whit the help of "post-morten" inventory in the present work we try to reconstruct the daily life at the XVIII century in Coruña. We have checked matters as the internal distribution of dwellings, the placing and composition of more usual furniture, the decoration and the vestment used.The most notable is the plainnes in the way of life which is replaced by luxury in the latest part of the century especially between members of the higher classes.
