    El Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), principal grupo terrorista pakistaní desde su fundación en 2007, está culminando un proceso de disgregación comenzado con la muerte de su líder, Baitullah Mehsud, en 2009. Disensiones internas en la organización, en buena medida basadas en diferencias tribales, exacerbadas tras la muerte del sucesor de Baitullah, Hakeemullah Mehsud, en 2013, junto con la creciente presión militar pakistaní en las áreas tribales fronterizas con Afganistán, han acabado prácticamente con el TTP. Este artículo analiza la evolución de este grupo terrorista desde el nombramiento de Maulana Fazlullah como su nuevo líder en noviembre de 2013.

    The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the formidable and foremost Pakistani terrorist group since its foundation in 2007, is reaching the end of a disintegration process started in 2009, after the death of its then leader, Baitullah Mehsud. Internal disagreements, in good measure based on tribal differences and aggravated after the death of Baitullah’s successor, Hakeemullah Mehsud, in 2013, and the growing Pakistani military pressure in the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan, have nearly finished the TTP. This paper analyzes the evolution of the terrorist group since the appointment of Maulana Fazlullah as its new leader in November 2013.
