    La proliferación de escenarios de actuación para las fuerzas armadas, hace que resulte necesario cuestionarse cual debe ser el objeto final de la educación militar, cuáles son los conocimientos y enseñanzas que deben impartirse a los líderes militares del futuro, de forma que puedan cumplir con éxito misiones tan variadas como complejas. Para lograrlo, resulta necesario extraer las correspondientes lecciones aprendidas de las intervenciones militares de los últimos años, de manera que sean capaces de entender el mundo que les rodea, la evolución que está experimentando el concepto de seguridad y la aportación de los ejércitos a la misma. La reflexión serena y el análisis de lo que las fuerzas militares han hecho durante los conflictos recientes, constituyen los elementos fundamentales para transformar nuestras estructuras educativas militares adaptándolas a las necesidades de hoy en día. Dar una respuesta adecuada a estos interrogantes, es la clave para llevar a cabo con éxito las operaciones militares de los próximos años. Y la formación de los jefes militares de hoy constituye la herramienta esencial para lograrlo.

    The increasing proliferation of scenarios for the armed forces makes it necessary to question what should be the ultimate aim of the military education, which is the knowledge to be taught to the future military leaders, so that they can conduct varied and complex missions successfully. To achieve this, it is necessary to draw the lessons learned from recent years´ military interventions, so that they can understand the world around them, the evolution that is experiencing the concept of security and the contribution of our military to it. The reflection and deep analysis of what they have been doing during recent conflicts are the key elements to transform our military educational structures and to adapt them to the needs requirements of today. All this makes it necessary not interrogate about the way we act the military leaders of the future and knowledge shall have and exercise. Guess the answer is the key to successful military operations in the coming years. And the formation of the military leaders of this is the essential tool to achieve this.
