Resumen de Educational Technology versus Schooling Mythology

M.A. Balaban

  • The innovation presented in this paper suggests a way of overcoming the mechanistic mythology of schooling inherited by the interactive learning systems from the classroom technology of mass education. The latter has remained practically unchanged since its invention in the Age of Reason and the establishment of ‘schooling industry’ in the Age of Enlightenment. The proposed alternative, educational technology of organic (as opposed to mechanistic) learning, is based on a change in the conceptual perspective of education which enables designers to model a ‘master tutor’ in their workshop rather than a ‘poor teacher’ in their classroom.
