  Las relaciones entre España y Portugal han mejorado sensiblemente en los últimos treinta años. La pertenencia de ambos países a organizaciones políticas multilaterales ha permitido diluir las diferencias, aunque aún queda mucho trabajo pendiente. El nivel de colaboración, es excelente y hay una gran sintonía en cuestiones de Seguridad y Defensa lo que ha permitido elevar las relaciones a su grado máximo. Muchos son los beneficios mutuos que podrían obtenerse de compartir medios y recursos. En cualquier caso, el gran valor a preservar de esta relación es la confianza.

  Relations between Spain and Portugal have improved considerably over the past thirty years, although there is still much work to do. The membership of both countries to multilateral political organization allowed diluting the differences. The level of collaboration is excellent and there is a great harmony in matters of security and defense which has allowed raising relations to the fullest extent. Much are the mutual benefits to be gained from sharing facilities and resources. Anyway, the great value to be preserved in this relationship is trust.
