Resumen de Democracia deliberativa y republicanismo.: Un análisis crítico de la concepción filosófico-política de la democracia de Julio De Zan

  La teoría de la democracia deliberativa constituye un planteamiento teórico de lo político que, en la versión habermasiana, pretende ubicarse conceptualmente entre el liberalismo y el republicanismo. Frente a posiciones como la de J. De Zan, quien concibió a esta teoría política más cerca de la primera que de la segunda corriente de pensamiento político, el presente trabajo se propone explicitar la conexión de la teoría habermasiana con el republicanismo, y a partir de allí identificar sus contribuciones para el mejoramiento de la calidad democrática del Estado de derecho. El objetivo de tal explicitación, es despejar los temores, muchas veces infundados, a los supuestos irracionalismos de las decisiones democráticas mayoritarias.

  The theory of deliberative democracy is a theoretical approach to the political, which in Habermas' version attempts to locate itself from a conceptual point of view between liberalism and republicanism. In view of positions such as that of J.

  De Zan, who placed this political theory closer to the first than to the second line of political thought, the present contribution seeks to make explicit the connection between Habermasian theory and republicanism and from there to identify its contributions to improving the democratic quality of the rule of law. The aim of such an explanation is to reduce the often unfounded fears of the supposed irrationality of majority democratic decisions.

  Die Theorie der deliberativen Demokratie ist eine theoretische Annäherung an das Politische, das in der Habermaschen Version versucht, sich von einem begrifflichen Standpunkt aus zwischen Liberalismus und Republikanismus zu lokalisieren. Angesichts von Positionen wie der von J. De Zan, der diese politische Theorie näher an der ersten als an der zweiten Linie des politischen Denkens ansiedelte, sucht der vorliegende Beitrag, die Verbindung zwischen der habermasianischen Theorie und dem Republikanismus explizit zu machen und von dort aus ihre Beiträge zur Verbesserung der demokratischen Qualität der Rechtsstaatlichkeit zu identifizieren. Ziel einer solchen Erklärung ist es, die oft unbegründeten Ängste vor der vermeintlichen Irrationalität mehrheitlicher demokratischer Entscheidungen zu abzubauen.
