    En la primavera de 1476 un tamborilero y pastor de ovejas llamado Hans Böhm tuvo una visión de la Virgen María en la pequeña localidad de Niklashausen que le llevó a predicar un discurso radicalmente crítico y contestatario. En este artículo analizaré a modo de microhistoria la marcha y la rebelión que desencadenó esta protesta en el pequeño valle del Tauber.

    Im Frühjahr 1476 hatte ein Trommler und Schäfer namens Hans Böhm in der kleinen Stadt Niklashausen eine Vision der Jungfrau Maria, die ihn dazu brachte, einen radikal kritischen und umstrittenen Diskurs zu predigen. In diesem Artikel werde ich den Wallfahrt und die Rebellion, die diesen Protest im kleinen Taubertal ausgelösten haben, mit der Perspektive der Mikrogeschichte analysieren.

    In the spring of 1476, a drummer and sheepherder called Hans Böhm had a vision of the Virgin Mary in the small town of Niklashausen that led him to preach a radically critical and contentious discourse against the local authorities. In this article, I will analyze through a microhistorical lens the march and rebellion that triggered this protest in the small Tauber valley.
