    El artículo se inserta en el contexto del debate reciente sobre las reformas al sistema educativo y los movimientos sociales que han cuestionado la desigualdad en el acceso y calidad de la educación. El presente artículo se centra en el análisis de las orientaciones normativas y valóricas que deberían sustentar las políticas públicas que apunten a una transformación de la educación que sea coherente con una sociedad democrática y justa.

    Der Artikel steht im Zusammenhang mit der jüngsten Debatte über die Reform des Bildungssystems und über die sozialen Bewegungen, die die Ungleichheit beim Zugang und bezüglich der Qualität der Bildung in Frage gestellt haben.

    Dieser Artikel konzentriert sich auf die Analyse der normativen und valorativen Orientierungen, auf die sich jene öffentlichen Politiken stützten sollten, die zur Transformation einer mit einer demokratischen und gerechten Gesellschaft im Einklang stehenden Bildung abzielen.

    The article belongs in the context of the recent debate on reforms to the educational system and social movements that have questioned the inequality in the access and quality of education. This article focuses on the analysis of the normative and value orientations that should support public policies that aim at a transformation of education that is coherent with a democratic and just society.
