    Aquest és un treball d’actualització del repertori epigràfic hebraic de la ciutat de Tortosa, propiciat per la troballa casual d’un nou fragment d’inscripció reaprofitat en la muralla del segle xiv. D’aquesta manera es contribueix modestament a un millor coneixement d’aquest tipus de textos funeraris, tant pel que fa als aspectes filològics i arqueològics com a les circumstàncies de la seva reutilització posterior, seguint unes pautes cada cop més ben conegudes gràcies a la troballa, ara més freqüent, de nous materials.

    Prompted by the chance discovery of a new fragment of an inscription reused in Tortosa’s 14th-century city walls, this article updates the inventory of the city’s Hebraic epigraphs. It thus modestly contributes to furthering our knowledge of such funerary texts, both where their philological and archaeological aspects are concerned and in terms of the circumstances of their subsequent reuse, which follows patterns with which we are increasingly familiar thanks to the now more frequent discovery of new specimens.
