Resumen de Imagen del poder y autorrepresentación regia en Asia Menor en época helenística: el reino de Bitinia (ss. III-I a.C.)

El presente trabajo analiza de manera diacrónica las diferentes formas de autorrepresentación del poder de la monarquía bitinia en época helenística entre los siglos III y I a.C. A través de cada dinasta bitinio, se estudian los aspectos innovadores, autóctonos o préstamos de otros reinos helenísticos vecinos relacionados con la imagen del poder real.
En último lugar se examina con detenimiento la confrontación a través de la imagen entre el reino bitinio y la República romana durante su expansión por el Mediterráneo oriental.

The present work analyzes in a diachronic way the different forms of selfrepresentation of the power of the Bithynian monarchy in the Hellenistic period between the III and I centuries BC. Through each Bithinite dynast, innovative elements, autochthonous aspects or loans from other Hellenistic neighbors related to the image of royal power are studied in deep. Finally, a close examination is made of the confrontation through the image between the Bithynian kingdom and the Roman Republic during its expansion in the eastern Mediterranean.
