Este trabajo examina brevemente la construcción y posterior uso del Mingtang por Wu Zetian a través de los textos que ella misma redactó. Estos textos muestran la intención de reforzar la autoridad de la emperatriz por medio de demostrar la aceptación divina de su gobierno, y vincular su autoridad con los fundadores épicos de la civilización china.

This paper briefly examines the construction and subsequent use of the Mingtang by Wu Zetian through the texts that herself wrote. These texts show the intention to reinforce the authority of the Empress by demonstrating the divine acceptance of her government, and linking her authority with the epic founders of Chinese civilization.
