Resumen de Il ‘mito’ di Assisi da Goethe a Fortini

Pasquale Tuscano

  • From the ancient world to Saint Francis, Assisi has always been an essential reference point for “pilgrims” of every time and place. A city with an irresistible human and spiritual charm, its visitors may be divided up into “mystics-poets” – the majority – and “travelersdescribers” of the manifold human, social, historical and spiritual reality. The author examines the impressions of the latter group, from Goethe to Taine, from Sabatier to Joergensen, including the writer from Assisi Arnaldo Fortini.
