El texto sobre Tres artistas del exilio incide en el hecho histórico de la diáspora cultural de la guerra civil española (1936-1939) y cómo afectó a tres notables creadores de la cultura de la época: el escritor y tipógrafo Max Aub Mohrenwitz (París, 1903-Ciudad de México, 1972); el arquitecto Felix Candela Outeriño (Madrid, 1910-Raleigh, USA,1997) y el artista Josep Renau Berenguer (Valencia, 1907-Berlín, 1982). Los tres protagonistas de este articulo coincidieron en el exilio en México donde hicieron importantes aportaciones en el terreno de las artes y las letras (Max Aub), la arquitectura (Félix Candela) y el diseño gráfico y el fotomontaje (Josep Renau). Aunque nacidos en distintas ciudades los tres personajes de esta historia protagonizaron un exilio latinoamericano, donde publicaron libros, construyeron importantes edificios y realizaron una obra artística significativa. Al cabo de 80 años del inicio de esta historia, los tres representan la mejor aportación de la cultura española a México.

Three artists in exile focuses on the historical diaspora provoked by the Spanish civil war (1936- 1939), and how it influenced three prominent figures of the cultural scene of that period: the writer and typographer Max Aub Mohrenwitz (Paris, 1903-Ciudad de Mexico, 1972); the architect Félix Candela Outeriño (Madrid, 1910-Raleigh, US, 1977); and the artist Josep Renau Berenguer (Valencia, 1907-Berlín, 1982). They are the three protagonists of this article, who were simultaneously living in Mexico during the exile and who made notable contributions in the fields of arts and humanities (Max Aub), architecture (Félix Candela), and graphic design and photomontage (Josep Renau). While they were born in different cities, all they three spent their exile in Latin America, where they published books, built important buildings, and produced relevant artistic works. Eighty years after the beginning of this story, they still represent the best contribution of the Spanish culture to Mexico
