    The logical-formal rigor of the deductive structure of Euclid’s Elements, especially their demonstrative success, greatly impressed the seventeenth-century philosophers, so as to exert a very strong inspiration and flagrant influence in their philosophical investigations. Among the great names in the philosophy of the Six Hundred, let us only refer to Descartes, Hobbes and Pascal. Thus, by approaching the point of view of these thinkers in relation to the Euclidean geometric method, especially the way they used this method in their philosophical works, this paper intends to point out some pertinent considerations regarding the presence and realization of the geometric method in the Six hundred.

    O rigor lógico-formal da estrutura dedutiva dos Elementos de Euclides, sobretudo seu êxito demonstrativo, impressionaram grandemente os filósofos seiscentistas, de modo a exercer uma fortíssima inspiração e uma flagrante influência em suas investigações filosóficas. Entre os grandes nomes da filosofia dos seiscentos, nos ateremos somente a Descartes, Hobbes e Pascal. Assim, ao abordar o ponto de vista destes pensadores em relação ao método geométrico euclidiano, sobretudo o modo como se serviram deste método em suas obras filosóficas, este trabalho pretende apontar algumas considerações pertinentes referentes à presença e realização do método geométrico nos seiscentos.
