    Este artículo analiza la construcción de la noción de sharía desde la historia intelectual árabe, comenzando por las visiones más tradicionales, pasando por las visiones modernizadoras de la Nahda del s. XIX y llegando a los discursos islamistas y salafistas del s. XX. Revisa cómo se fue constituyendo el corpus jurídico de la sharía como resultado de la interacción del texto con el contexto, y las tensiones y transformaciones a las que se ha visto sometido a raíz de la creación de los Estados modernos

    This article analyses the concept of “sharia” from an Arab scholar historical perspective, from its most traditional views to the modernising views of the Nahda in the 19th century to the Islamist and Salafist discourses of the 20th century. It reflects how the corpus of the sharia was formed as a result of the interaction of the text with the context, and the importance of the Arabic language for its formulation and understanding.
