  • Resumen
    • This chapter is devoted to the issue of foreign language anxiety, a factor prevalent in most language classrooms. After a general description of the notion, its specific types and causes and a depiction of anxiety manifestations, we present the results of two studies aiming to specify the level of students’ anxiety, elaborating on the reasons of their fears, the coping strategies they employ, and differences among adults and teenagers and men and women. The final analysis of the results enables choosing the most favourable methods for conquering foreign language anxiety
