Ironies del destí i visió del món en dues narracions de Víctor Català i Josep Carner

    Der vorliegende Artikel untersucht den Gebrauch der Ironie in zwei Erzählungen von Víctor Català und Josep Carner: „Parricidi“ und „L’objecte màgic“. Es handelt sich hierbei um zwei besonders interessante Beispiele, da es um die Ironisierung der Konzepte geht, die dem Weltbild der Autoren zugrunde liegen: Fatalismus bei Víctor Català und Arbitrarität bei Josep Carner. Die Untersuchung weist die Verwendung der sogenannten Situationsironie oder dramatischen Ironie bei Català und Carner nach, wobei sich bei letzterem noch die verbale Ironie unterschiedlicher Herkunft hinzugesellt.

    The current article examines the use of irony in two short stories by Víctor Català and Josep Carner: «Parricidi» and «L’objecte màgic», respectively. These are two particularly interesting examples for the study of the subject, since the ironic treatment is carried out around the concepts that support the authors’ vision: fatalism, in Víctor Català, and arbitrariness, in Josep Carner. Thanks to the study not only the use of situational irony or dramatic irony in Català, but also the use or verbal irony, with its different procedures, in Carner’s story can be confirmed.
