This paper discusses some of the influences on the diffusion of computer‐assisted learning as they became evident during the course of a project within the Manpower Services Commission. This project, which has been running for about two years in one of the administrative regions, uses microcomputers. Among the influences noted are management commitment, the nature of the administration of the project, the development of training staff, and the convenience of the programming language.
