    El Museo Federsee en Bad Buchau, Alemania, fue realizado por el arquitecto Manfred Lehmbruck entre 1959 y 1968. El objetivo de este artículo es evidenciar que todas las decisiones que Lehmbruck toma, durante la elaboración del proyecto, sirven para que este museo mantenga una relación especial con el horizonte. La investigación se desarrolla a partir de la documentación original del proyecto básico obtenida en Federsee, fotografías y croquis realizados in situ y una bibliografía exhaustiva. El texto se estructura en seis apartados: en el primero, se reflexiona sobre el paisaje cultural donde se asienta el edificio; en el segundo, se analiza el sistema constructivo y la presencia de la madera; en el tercero, se estudia el hecho de que el edificio flote, otorgando importancia al espacio en sombra; el cuarto apartado se centra en la secuencia de los recorridos en el espacio; en el quinto se reflexiona sobre la presencia constante del agua en el proyecto; finalmente, en el último apartado, se analizan las relaciones que el edificio mantiene con los horizontes. Todas estas cuestiones sirven para explicar la excepcionalidad de una arquitectura que se ancla a la tierra y, simultáneamente, flota sobre el agua.

    The Federsee Museum in Bad Buchau, Germany, was created by the architect Manfred Lehmbruck between 1959 and 1968. The main purpose of this article is to show that all the decisions that Lehmbruck makes, during the development of the project, serve for this museum to maintain a relationship special with the horizon. The research is developed from the original documentation of the basic project obtained in Federsee, photographs and sketches made in situ and an exhaustive bibliography. The text is divided into six sections: in the first, it is reflected on the cultural landscape where the building is located; in the second, the construction system and the presence of wood are analyzed; in the third, the fact that the building floats is studied, giving importance to the shadowed space; the fourth section focuses on the sequence of journeys in space; the fifth reflects on the constant presence of water in the project; finally, in the last section, the relationships that the building maintains with the horizons are analyzed. All these questions serve to explain the exceptionality of an architecture that is anchored to the earth and, simultaneously, floats on water.
