    El principal propósito de este apunte histórico-descriptivo es dar información de la actividad molinera realizada en el molino de Chuy y describir sus principales características. La referida actividad estuvo condicionada por muy diversos factores. El molino está situado en el señorío de Bonilla de la Sierra y en un territorio que, en su día, se organizó como Comunidad de Villa y Tierra.

    Por otra parte, la construcción del molino nos ofrece una importante correspondencia entre estructura y función. En este apunte se aporta, además de detalles sobre el desarrollo agrícola de la región, la importancia de su actividad molinera llevada a cabo desde el periodo medieval hasta bien entrado el siglo XX. En la actualidad, el molino, en unión con Bonilla, conforma un entorno que, desde el punto de vista natural y cultural, resulta sumamente interesante y atractivo.

    The main purpose of this descriptive historical note is to provide information about the milling activity carried out in the Chuy mill, and to describe its main characteristics. This activity was conditioned by a larger number of factors. The mill is located in the Episcopal lordship of Bonilla de la Sierra and organized territorially in the Community of Villa y Tierra. On the other hand, the construction of the mill offers us an important correspondence between structure and function. In this note details are given about the agricultural development of the region, as well as highlighting the importance of Bonilla in the medieval period; and that the milling activity, in this mill, has been maintained from the medieval period to day. Nowadays, the Chuy mill, in union with the manor of Bonilla, is conformed in an environment of great natural and historical interest, not only for us, but also for future generations.
