El tercer periodo de las monedas hebreas corresponde a las acuñadas por Herodes el Grande y aquellos de sus descendientes que gobernaron en los diferentes territorios de Palestina hasta fines del s. I d.C. Los miembros de esta dinastía acuñaron monedas con la autorización de los romanos, entonces dueños de su territorio, y de los que siempre fueron fieles vasallos. Se trata acuñaciones de bronce que al principio siguieron el sistema monetal de los asmoneos, pero que pronto fueron acomodándose al sistema romano. Sus tipos y leyendas también pasaron, gradualmente, de ser respetuosas con el judaísmo a ser copias fieles de prototipos griegos o romanos.

The third period of Hebrew Coins corresponds to those minted by Herod the Great and those of his descendants who ruled in the different territories of Palestine until the end of the 1st century A.D. The members of this dynasty minted coins with the authorization of the Romans, then owners of their territory, and of whom they were always faithful vassals. These are bronze coins that initially followed the Monetary system of the Hasmoneans, but soon became more comfortable with the Roman system. Its types and legends also gradually went from being respectful of Judaism to being faithful copies of Greek or Roman prototypes
