The analysis of drainage network is a powerful tool to detect and analyze active tectonic perturbations. In this paper it presents a methodology developed for the analysis of this drainage networkby means of the Stream-Long index (SL index) and the Asymmetry Factor (AF index) using the newsCIS techniques and a very precise DEM (10 m). Main interest of this analysis is the application ofboth indexes in a region with moderate tectonic rate in order to attempt the relationship of drainage network perturbations with active faults. With the SL index it carried out an analysis by theway of comparing this index in different rivers to obtain an anomaly map. Analysis of asymmetryfactor is focused to elucidate the main parameters which control asymmetry of drainage catchments at different scale. The preliminary results of both analysis in the basins of Granada and Gua-dix-Baza are presented.
