Resumen de Fires a Catalunya. A Solsona, una fira cada mes

Aquest treball és una síntesi de les recerques de l’autor sobre les fires de Solsona. Els objectius principals de dita investigació eren escatir les raons de la celebració d’una dotzena de fires en aquesta població i la seva rodalia, establir-ne la tipologia segons l’origen i comprovar en quin moment històric coincidiren. El resultat fou constatar la filiació medieval de quatre fires vilatanes, la reunió en època moderna de cinc fires de camp, relacionades amb la transhumància, i l’aparició de cinc més a la ciutat els segles XIX i XX, aprofitant una nova legislació que permetia de crear-ne de noves. Així, doncs, els primers decennis del segle xx Solsona feia fira cada mes.

This work is a synthesis of the author’s research on the fairs of Solsona. The main objectives of this research were to find out the reasons for holding a dozen fairs in this town and its surroundings, to establish atypology according to their origins, and to verify at what historical moment they coincided. The results showed the medieval affiliation of four fairs, the celebration in modern times of five fairs in the countryside linked to transhumance, and the appearance of five more in the city in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, taking advantage of new legislation that allowed the creation of new events. Thus, in the first decades of the twentieth century, Solsona held a fair every month.
