  • The article discusses the work of the contemporary artist and former architect Niloufar Emamifar. Born in Iran, the artist is currently participating in a two-year Core residency program hosted by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Emamifar has found it frustrating that American audiences attempt to read Iranian-ness in her site-specific artworks and refuses to contribute a biographies for group exhibitions because of this.
