¡Avant! Un poema inèdit de Vicent Blasco Ibáñez —revisat per Constantí Llombart

    Aquest article publica la transcripció dels quatre fulls conservats en la Biblioteca Valenciana del poema «¡Avant!», un manuscrit de Vicent Blasco Ibañez (València, 1867 - Menton, 1928), corregit per Constantí Llombart (València, 1848 - València, 1893). Són dívuit sextets escrits en llengua catalana que anaven a ser presentats als Jocs Florals de València de 1891. L’article reuneix informació sobre la peripècia del document fins a l’actualitat, amb la figura clau de Ramon Andrés i Cabrelles (Campanar [València], 1869 - València, 1957) en la conservació i donació. Per a l’autor de l’article, el poema «¡Avant!» representa l’entrada de la literatura valenciana en la Modernitat

    This article publishes the transcription of a handwritten poem by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez (Valencia, 1867 - Menton, 1928), kept in the Biblioteca Valenciana. This poem named «¡Avant!» [Forward!] is four sheets long, and it is composed of one hundred and eight verses, written in Valencian Catalan language to compete for the Floral Games Award of Valencia in 1891. Blasco submitted these sheets to his friend Constantí Llombart for language review, as Llombart was a specialist in the language. In the end, Blasco never submitted the poem for the contest because he was unexpectedly invited to lecture at this same event. This article explains how the poem has arrived to us nowadays and kept hidden until now. The author of this article claims that this poem represents the decisive start of Modernity in Valencian literature.
