Continuidad y cambio en el Pirineo navarro. Análisis desde la perspectiva de las mujeres

    El profundo cambio de las estructuras sociales y económicas que comienza al inicio del presente siglo y tiene su máxima incidencia a partir de la segunda mitad del mismo, es contemplado desde la visión del mundo rural y el papel que las mujeres desempeñan en él. El Pirineo Navarro sufrió, al igual que muchas de las zonas rurales del estado español, el abandono masivo por parte de la mayoría de sus integrantes que se trasladaron a las zonas urbanas e industriales en busca de una vida menos dura. En esa huida, las mujeres han sido en número bastante superiores a los hombres. Ello añade un importante problema a la de por sí ya deprimida situación del mundo rural. En este artículo, resumen de un estudio más amplio, se intenta plasmar tanto el por qué las mujeres abandonan en mayor proporción su lugar de origen, como la actual situación de las que se han quedado y las perspectivas de cara al futuro.

    The deep change of the social and economic structures that started at the beginning of the present century, and which have its greatest incidence in its second half, are contemplated from the view of the rural world and the paper women play in it. The Pirineo Navarro suffered a massive abandonment by many of its inhabitants who moved to the urban and industrial areas; a process followed by many of the rural areas in the Spanish State. In this process the women had out numbered the men and had added an important problem to the situation in the rural world. The present article -a summary of a longer one- deals with the following: to understand the fact women are the ones leaving their place of origin; to examine the conditions of those who remain as well as the options spered towards the future.

    Gaur egungo mende honen haseran giza eta ekonomi estrukturetan ematen diren aldaketa sakonak, honek bere eragin nagusiena mende honen bigarren erdialdetik aurrera duelarik, nekazal munduaren ikuspegitik eta emakumeak berta jokatu duten paperatik aztertuak dira. Pirineo Nafarrak, Espainar estatuko beste hainbat nekazal gunetan bezala, bere partaideen utziera sufritu zuen, hauek bizitza lasaiago baten bila gune industrial eta hirietara jo zutelarik. Ihesaldi hortan emakumeak, zenbakiei dagokionez, gizonak gainditu dituzte, honek dagoeneko larria zen egoerari arazo garrantzitsu bat gehitzen dio. Artikulu hontan, ikerketa zabalago baten laburpena, azaldu nahi dena da zergatik emakumeak gehiengoz bere jatorriko lurrak uzten dituzten, baita gelditu direnen gaur egungo egoera eta beraien perspektiba etorkizunerako.
