  Centrado en torno a la crónica, este ensayo intenta establecer algunas conexiones entre ciertas escrituras latinoamericanas que dieron cuenta de la epidemia del VIH/Sida y las  que consideran aquello que viene con la irrupción de un nuevo virus, el SARS- CoV 2. En este escrito me propongo considerar Vivir con virus. Relatos de la vida cotidiana de Marta Dillon, en conexión con otras crónicas referidas al COVID 19. Se trata de “No tener olfato” de Ana Longoni y “Me olvido de todo menos de mi cuerpo” de Alia Trabucco Zerán,  ambas publicadas en  Revista Anfibia en los primeros meses de diseminación del virus en 2020.

  Focusing on the chronicle, a literary genre, this essay tries to establish some connections between certain Latin American writings that reported the HIV/AIDS epidemic and those closer to the present which considered what derives from the irruption of a new virus, the SARS-CoV-2. As well as HIV/AIDS, the SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 crisis and the simultaneity in which it is being developed, creating common, yet peculiar, settings in each corner of the globe, disrupts the conditions of a world that was already absorbed by and concerned about several polyvalent threats. In this crossing, I intend to consider Vivir con virus. Relatos de la vida cotidiana by Marta Dillon, as well as other chronicles regarding COVID-19. These are No tener olfato by Ana Longoni and Me olvido de todo menos de mi cuerpo by Alia Trabucco Zerán, both of which were published in the first months of the spread of the virus in 2020.
