  Tras un rapidísimo repaso de los antecedentes más significativos, el presente artículo aborda la relación institucional de la Pontificia, Real e Ilustre Hermandad Matriz con la Casa Real en los últimos cien años, desde que le fuera concedido el título de Real por S.M. El Rey D. Alfonso XIII, el 8 de julio de 1920, hasta la reciente visita de SS.MM.RR. Don Felipe VI y Doña Letizia, el pasado día 14 de febrero de 2020. También es ocasión para constatar el alcance del título de Real entre las hermandades filiales (Anexo I) y para publicar la documentación relativa a la solicitud de la concesión del título de Pontificia del año 1920, recientemente recuperada del Archivo Apostólico Vaticano (Anexo II).

  After a brief review of significant historical events, this article addresses the institutional relationship between the Pontifical, Royal and Illustrious Founding Brotherhood with the Royal Household during the last 100 years, starting when it received the title of Royal from H.M. King Alfonso XIII, on the 8th of June 1920, up to the recent visits from T.H. King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, the past 14th of February 2020. It's also occasion to establish the scope ofthe title of Royal among the affiliated brotherhoods (annex I) as well as to publish the documentation related to the application to grant the title of Pontifical in 1920, which has been recently recovered from the Apostolic Archive of the Vatican (annex II).
