Resumen de Bibliotecas e acervos escolares: aspectos para a pesquisa histórica educacional

  We present results of our investigations in order to contribute to the understanding of the “new identities and cultures of teaching and educational research in our knowledge society”. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, it has been possible to observe official discourses, seeking to legitimize their prescriptions, maintaining norms, knowledge, practices and school institutions in Brazil, such as the creation of libraries and school collections. Thus, we discuss the origin of these spaces and present aspects of the library and school collection of the Normal School of Piracicaba, installed in the second half of the twentieth century in the state of São Paulo. We develop research of historical, documentary and bibliographical approach, as to the sources. We conclude that in our knowledge society, educational research with libraries and historical school collections, keep evidence of concerns, prescriptions and effectiveness within the educational institutions of each and every historical time.

  Apresentamos resultados das nossas investigações com o objetivo de contribuir para a compreensão das “novas identidades e das culturas de ensino e da pesquisa educacional em nossa sociedade do conhecimento”. Desde o início do século XX, é possível observarmos os discursos oficiais, em busca da legitimação de suas prescrições, mantenedoras de normas, saberes, práticas e instituições escolares no Brasil, como as de criação das bibliotecas e acervos escolares. Assim, discutimos a origem desses espaços e apresentamos aspectos da biblioteca e acervo escolar da Escola Normal de Piracicaba, instalada na segunda metade do século XX no estado de São Paulo. Desenvolvemos pesquisa de abordagem histórica, documental e bibliográfica, quanto às fontes. Concluímos que em nossa sociedade do conhecimento, a pesquisa educacional junto às bibliotecas e acervos escolares históricos, guardam indícios das preocupações, das prescrições e das efetivações dentro das instituições de ensino de todos e de cada tempo histórico.
