Resumen de Estudio sobre los usos, servicios y desafíos del museo de la Gran Convención de Ocaña (Colombia)

Los museos son la fuente vital por donde emana y se conserva la cultura, historia y experienclas de la humanidad. Conocer su funcionamiento y retos futuros, es una labor que deben realizar los científicos sociales. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo diagnosticar los usos y calidad de los servicios que ofrece el Museo de la Gran Convención de Ocaña, Colombia, de acuerdo con la consulta de fuentes humanas. Para ello, se usa un enfoque mixto, con énfasis cuantitativo, a través de la aplicación de una encuesta (cuantitativo) y entrevista semi-estructurada (cualitativo). Entre los resultados y conclusiones de este trabajo, se destacan que el Museo de la Gran Convención, pese a la atención esmerada y conocimiento de la historia local de su personal, no cuenta con los suficientes recursos económicos y tecnológicos ni con una política municipal para la exhibición de sus 20 piezas, acorde con los estudios museísticos actuales, y el estímulo del turismo cultural.

Museums are vital sources where culture, history, and experiences of humanity emanate and preserve. To know its operation and future challenges are labor that social researchers must development. This research aims to diagnose the uses and quality of services offered by the Museum of the Grand Convention of Ocaña, Colombia, according to the consultation of human sources. For this, a mixed approach is used, with quantitative emphasis, through the application of surveys (quantitative), and semi-structured interview (qualitative). Among the results and conclusions of this work, it stands out that the Museum of the Grand Convention, despite the careful attention and knowledge of the local history of its staff, it hasn’t with the financial and technological resources enough or a municipal policy for the exhibition of its 20 pieces, following current museum studies, and the encouragement of culturaI tourism.
