Resumen de Relectura festiva de dos episodios del "Quijote": don Quijote colgado de la ventana (I, 43-44) y Sancho colgado de la encina (II, 34)

La estructura laberíntica del Quijote presenta un continuo juego de escritura y rescritura, de reelaboración de motivos narrativos. Esto se manifiesta en las relaciones intratextuales entre la primera y la segunda parte, así como en las aventuras simétricas protagonizadas por don Quijote y Sancho. Este estudio pretende añadir a las reiteraciones estructurales cervantinas dos episodios hasta ahora descuidados por la crítica, es decir el momento en el cual don Quijote, burlado por Maritornes, queda colgado por el brazo de una ventana (I, 43-44) y la caza del jabalí organizada por los duques, durante la cual Sancho queda colgado de una encina (II,34). Se propone, finalmente, una relectura de los dos episodios a través del prisma carnavalesco de las tradiciones de cosificación y animalización del ser humano.

The labyrinthine structure of Don Quijote presents a constant game of writing and rewriting, as a recreation of narrative motifs from multiple perspectives. This is evident in the intratextual relations between the first and the second part, as well as in the symmetrical adventures where don Quixote and Sancho are placed in analogous circumstances, set in opposite contexts. This study aims to add to these structural reiterations two episodes, so far neglected by critics: the moment in which Don Quixote is hanged by the arm from a window, as a result of Maritornes’s prank (I, 43-44) and the boar-hunting proposed by the duke and duchess, when Sancho ends up hanging from an oak (II, 34). The two episodes are reinterpreted through the prism of those carnival traditions which tend to accomplish the animalization and objectification of human beings.
