We show, both theoretically as experimentally, the spatio-temporal dynamics of acoustic cavities, consisting in two parallel transducers immersed in a fluid, one of them vibrating at frequency f and the other one fixed, acting as a mirror. The phenomena exhibited by the system are depending mainly on the particular fluid embedding the system, which determines the nonlinearity of the system. We have considered both low (water) and high (glycerin) viscosity fluids. The intrinsic variation of temperature due to the interplay with the acoustic wave and its effects are considered.
