    La finca Pedro José, situada en el municipio de Sant Joan d’Alacant, es la típica casa de recreo de finales del siglo XIX donde la nueva élite social pasaba el verano en la Huerta de Alicante. Esta casa fue heredada por las mujeres de la familia, que verán interrumpidas sus vidas por la incautación de la finca durante la Guerra Civil. Será entonces cuando se construya en las entrañas de la misma, aproximadamente a 7 metros de profundidad, un refugio antiaéreo para resguardar de los bombardeos a la nueva familia alojada y será protagonista del capítulo final del conflicto bélico. En la actualidad, el ayuntamiento ha solicitado ayudas a la Conselleria de Cultura para su rehabilitación y musealización para revalorizar este patrimonio olvidado a través del turismo cultural, generando rutas entre varias localidades con la capital, ofreciendo una nueva oferta turística para el municipio.

    The Pedro José property, located in the municipality of Sant Joan d’Alacant, is the typical leisure house from the end of the 19th century where the new social elite spent their summer holidays in the Huerta de Alicante. This house inherited by the women of the family, will see their lives interrupted by the seizure of the property during the Civil War. It will be then when a bomb shelter will be built in the bowels of the house, approximately 7 meters deep, to protect the new family from bombing and it will be at the fore of the final chapter of the war. Nowadays, the City Council has requested grants from the Ministry of Culture for its rehabilitation and musealization to revalue this forgotten heritage through cultural tourism, creating routes between various towns and the capital, providing a new tourist offer for the municipality.
