    Este artículo intenta explicar el tratamiento que Ramon Llull dio a la ciencia geométrica y su integración en su Arte. Se enmarcan sus conocimientos a partir del planteamiento cosmológico de Platón y las posibles influencias de matemáticos y filósofos de la antigüedad y medievales. En forma de hipótesis se plantea la analogía de la Figura plena con la Trinidad y, a través de la semejanza de figuras geométricas, se obtiene una firme cuantificación, números 16 y 9, de los principios del Arte luliana. En definitiva, se pretende rescatar el profundo trabajo de Llull en la ciencia geométrica y las razones que esgrime para integrarla en su Arte, y por consiguiente relacionar racionalmente el Creador con la creación, con una justificación sostenida por modelos geométricos, a partir de la percepción sensorial, la ayuda de la imaginación y la elevación del intelecto que el rigor geométrico posibilita.

    This article attempts to explain the treatment that Ramon Llull gave to geometric science and its integration into his Art. His knowledge takes its point of departure from Plato’s cosmological approach and the possible influences of ancient and medieval mathematicians and philosophers. As a hypothesis, the author proposes an analogy of the Figura plena with the Trinity, and, through the similarity of geometric figures obtains a clear quantification —the numbers 16 and 9— of the principles of the Lullian Art. In short, the aim is to recapture the significance of Llull’s geometrical studies and the reasons he gives for integrating them into the Art, and therefore rationally relating the Creator to his creation by geometric models, all based on sensory perception, with the help of the imagination and with the elevation of the intellect that geometric rigor makes possible
