  Las inversiones en renovación de las infraestructuras del ciclo urbano del agua han recibido una atención menor que las destinadas a obra nueva dentro de este sector. Con el fin de visibilizar la necesidad de acometer estas inversiones en renovación, desde este trabajo se recogen datos sobre los elementos que componen el parque de infraestructuras del ciclo urbano del agua en España, su valor económico y las necesidades de inversión anual, así como una síntesis de los principales mecanismos de financiación existentes y su viabilidad, de acuerdo con las circunstancias actuales en el país

  The renewal investment needs of the urban water cycle have received less attention than the ones related to the building of new water infrastructures. In order to attract attention to these renewal investment needs, this work presents some data regarding the inventory of the networks and special infrastructures that make up the water supply and sanitation services in Spain, their economic value and the annual renewal investment needs of these urban water infrastructures, as well as a synthesis of the main existing financing mechanisms and their viability, based on the current circumstances in the country
