Impacto del SARS-CoV-2 sobre el empleo y presupuesto de salud en México

    Este trabajo destaca el impacto del SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) sobre el empleo y el presupuesto a salud en México. La evidencia de datos de este año, indica un duro golpe a la estructura productiva nacional, particularmente al empleo. Además, el presupuesto para salud ha sido insuficiente, teniendo que transferirse recursos federales a las entidades federativas para programas de Salud y bienestar Comunitario.Se utilizaron instrumentos cualitativos para la obtención de los datos, teniendo como limitante la información disponible hasta el 17 de noviembre del 2020. La evidencia muestra el impacto negativo de la pandemia sobre empleo y salud. Al mes de mayo se han perdido poco más de 1 millón de empleos, menor ingreso de viajeros internacionales por transporte aéreo y creció número de personas en pobreza extrema por ingreso. Respecto a salud, se implementaron los Programa de Susana Distancia y Quédate en Casa. ¿Cuándo recuperarán su empleo las personas? ¿Los próximos años se asignará más presupuesto al sector salud? ¿Cuándo saldrá la vacuna? Son preguntas que hoy no se pueden responder. Se sabe cuándo inicio la pandemia, pero se desconoce que ruta seguirá, por lo que son inciertas las proyecciones de tiempo para frenar mortalidad, recuperar la salud de las personas y a los sectores económicos de este país.

    This work highlights the impact of SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) on employment and the health budget in Mexico. The evidence of data of this year, indicates a severe blow to the national productive structure, particularly employment. In addition, the budget for health has been insufficient, having to transfer federal resources to the federal entities for Community Health and welfare programs. Qualitative instruments were used to obtain the data, limiting the information available until november 17, 2020. The evidence shows the negative impact of the pandemic on employment and health. As of may, just over 1 million jobs have been lost, less income from international travelers by air transport and the number of people in extreme poverty by income grew. Regarding health, the Susana Distance and Stay at Home Programs were implemented. When will people recover their jobs? Will the next few years be allocated more budget to the health sector? When will the vaccine be released? These are questions that cannot be answered today. It is known when the pandemic began, but it is unknown what route it will take, so the projections of time to curb mortality, recover the health of people and the economic sectors of this country are uncertain.
