El carlismo luchó junto al bando sublevado en la Guerra Civil, pero desde mediados de los años sesenta y setenta del siglo XX vivió un proceso de redefinición de su ideología que le llevó a defender el socialismo autogestionario, el federalismo y el pluripartidismo. En esos años surgen una serie de organizaciones y otras se reconstruyen, formando lo que llamamos la izquierda revolucionaria, según algunos autores. El objetivo de esta investigación es esclarecer si el Partido Carlista puede ser o no integrado en dicha izquierda revolucionaria. A través de estudio comparado y de las conexiones ideológicas, organizativas, históricas y de la práctica política entre el Partido Carlista y la entendida como izquierda revolucionaria se pretende llegar a dilucidar este particular, haciendo uso fundamentalmente de la prensa carlista y de los partidos marxistas, así como de la bibliografía pertinente, documentación de archivo e interna de los partidos y testimonios orales

Carlism was brought along by the rebel side during the Civil War, but in the mid-1960s and 1970s a redefinition of its ideology began to unfold that would later include defending self-managed socialism, federalism and multi-partyism. In those years a series of organizations arose and others were rebuilt, forming what we call the revolutionary left, according to some authors. The purpose of this investigation is to clarify whether or not the Carlista Party can be integrated into that revolutionary left. Through comparative study and the ideological, organizational, historical and political practice connections between the Carlista Party and what is perceived as the revolucionary left, it is intended to answer this question, making use primarily of the Carlist press and Marxist-Leninist parties, as well as the relevant bibliography, archival and internal documentation of the parties and oral testimonies
