    El presente texto pretende realizar un análisis de una de las obras militares más destacables de la Antigüedad: el trabajo del estratego militar Polieno. La obra de este autor macedónico lleva por título Stratēgēmata, y se trata de un compendio de hechos militares notables de la Antigüedad, escrito en el siglo II d.C. Polieno entremezcla en su texto consejos célebres de grandes militares, medidas disciplinarias, potenciales estratagemas y hechos gloriosos de diversos personajes. En estos hechos célebres, el lector puede encontrar una gran variedad de acciones llevadas a cabo por mujeres, tanto míticas como históricas. Sin embargo, el papel de estas heroínas supone un fiel reflejo de la visión de la femineidad existente en el mundo antiguo, no dejando de representarse escuetamente sus actos, y apareciendo estos como subordinados o asimilados a la masculinidad. Por todo ello, resulta de gran interés analizar este destacado tratado militar desde de una perspectiva de género, prestando especial atención a aquellos actos de resistencia en los que las mujeres se enfrentan a un mundo, el de la guerra, al cual no pertenecen

    This text aims to make an analysis of one of the most outstanding military treatises of Antiquity: the work of the military strategist Polyaenus. The work of this Macedonian author is entitled Stratēgēmata, and it is a compendium of notable military events of Antiquity, written in the second century AD. Polyaenus intermingles in his text famous advice of great military, disciplinary measures, potential stratagems and glorious facts of various characters. In these famous events, the reader can find a great variety of actions carried out by women, both mythical and historical. However, the role of these heroines is a faithful reflection of the vision of the femininity existing in the Ancient world, not ceasing to represent their actions briefly, and these appear as subordinate or assimilated to masculinity. Therefore, it is of great interest to analyze this outstanding military treatise from a gender perspective, paying special attention to those acts of resistance in which women face a world, that of war, to which they do not belong.
