Resumen de Los Textos de Formación en la Orden de San Juan de Dios

  El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar el contenido de los textos de la Orden Hospitalaria San Juan de Dios, evaluar el nivel de conocimientos, identificar el estilo, conceptos y orientación de la atención enfermera y descubrir generalizaciones útiles para comprender su práctica y desarrollar esta disciplina. Se han seleccionado nueve obras publicadas entre 1585 y 1936, que se examinan como fuentes de datos a doble lectura. Se analiza la estructura general de temas, el contexto y los componentes del proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje: conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes. Se mantienen reuniones de debate y consenso para definir el significado de las definiciones operacionales de estas categorías de análisis establecidas y su interpretación. Se concluye que aún siendo escasas las publicaciones, la enseñanza juandediana ayuda a adquirir conocimientos, poseer competencias prácticas y adoptar actitudes. En los textos estudiados más antiguos predomina el área actitudinal y lo técnico en las últimas obras, que responde a las variaciones en el conocimiento científico en el tiempo estudiado, y al modelo de enseñanza que la organización presenta a lo largo de su historia, más global e interna en principio, y más híbrida entre la formación interna y la externa a partir del siglo XIX

  The aim of this piece of work is the analysis of the contents of the text of the Order of Saint John of God, the evaluation of the level of knowledge, the identification of style, concepts an orientation of nursing care an the use of new approaches in order to understand practise an develop this item. Nine pieces of work, published between 1585 an 1936, have been picked up an they are looked upon as sources of information an read twice. The general structure, context an components of the teaching-learning process of the topics - knowledge, skills and attitude - are analysed. Debate and agreement discussions are kept in order to define the meaning of the operation definitions of the established analysis categories an their interpretation. The conclusion is that, though publications are scarce, the John of God's teaching model helps in the acquisition o knowledge, practical competence an adoption of attitudes. Older text emphasize in the technical part, as a reflection of the variations in scientific knowledge along the length of time taken into account, and the teaching model of the organization through its own history, more global and internal at the beginning and fusing internal and external training since the 19th Century
