Resumen de La prensa local durante el primer peronismo en el municipio de La Matanza

En las últimas décadas el peronismo incrementó su presencia como objeto de estudio historiográfico. Se dejaron de lado viejos enfoques y se analizaron nuevos temas desde perspectivas diversas. En ese contexto, los trabajos sobre las experiencias locales del primer peronismo tomaron protagonismo. En muchos casos se utilizaron como fuentes indispensables los periódicos, que a su vez se transformaron ellos mismos en objeto de estudio. Existen trabajos sobre las relaciones del peronismo con los medios de prensa a nivel nacional, provincial, de grandes ciudades y de algunos municipios del interior de la provincia de Buenos Aires, no así con respecto a los partidos que pertenecen al Conurbano Bonaerense. Este artículo viene a aportar a los estudios sobre la prensa y el peronismo, pero en este caso se analizó la prensa local, más precisamente el diario Nueva Idea, que se editaba en la localidad de Ramos Mejía en el municipio de La Matanza. A través de un recorrido por los primeros diez años de historia de esta fuente hemerográfica, se pretende ubicar a los periódicos locales independientes como importantes actores políticos capaces de influir en las decisiones de los gobiernos municipales.

In recent decades, Peronism increased its presence as an object of historiographic study. Old approaches were put aside and new issues were analyzed from different perspectives. In this context, the works on the local experiences of the first Peronism took center stage. In many cases newspapers were used as indispensable sources, which in turn became an object of study themselves. There are studies on the relations between Peronism and the press at the national, provincial, large cities and some municipalities in the interior of the province of Buenos Aires, but not with respect to the parties that belong to the Greater Buenos Aires. This article contributes to studies on the press and Peronism, but in this case the local press was analyzed, more precisely the newspaper Nueva Idea, which was published in the town of Ramos Mejía in the municipality of La Matanza. Through a journey through the first ten years of the history of this newspaper source, it is intended to locate independent local newspapers as important political actors capable of influencing the decisions of municipal governments.
